This Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices of Boulder Investment Group (“BIG”) and its website, boulderinvestmentgroup.com. By accessing the website or participating in BIG, you agree to the practices described below. This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
Information We Collect
• Personal information you provide directly: name, address, phone number, email, LinkedIn, and other information submitted through membership applications, RSVP forms, surveys, or other communications with BIG.
• Usage data: IP address, browser type, and access times when you use the website.
• Information from third parties, with your consent, where applicable.
How We Use Information
• To communicate about club-related matters, events, and updates.
• To share announcements and opportunities from presenting sponsors.
• To comply with legal and regulatory requirements governing electronic communications.
Communication Consent
By providing contact information, members consent to receive electronic communications, including email and SMS, regarding club activities and sponsor opportunities. Members may withdraw consent at any time by contacting support@boulderinvestmentgroup.com.
Information We Share
BIG does not sell or rent personal information. BIG shares member information with sponsors only in the following two limited ways:
• Sponsor Reference Check: A sponsor seeking to present to BIG may submit the last names of its existing investors to BIG's internal verification tool. The tool checks the submitted last names against BIG's member records; if a match is found, the tool returns the matching member's full name to the sponsor, solely so the sponsor can confirm whether that investor is a current BIG member. Sponsors cannot browse, search, or otherwise access BIG's membership list — only the names a sponsor submits are checked, and only confirmed matches are returned. Members who have opted out of BIG are excluded from this tool.
• Q&A Event RSVPs: If you RSVP to a post-presentation Q&A call, your name, email address, and the city, state, and country associated with the IP address you used to submit the RSVP are shared with the presenting sponsor, who organizes that call. This is disclosed on the RSVP form itself at the time you submit it.
We may also share information with third-party tools or platforms solely to facilitate communications on BIG's behalf, or as required by law.
Member Consent and Responsibility
By joining BIG, members consent to the collection, use, and sharing of information as described in this Policy, acknowledge that liability for any data breach or third-party misuse is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law, and acknowledge that participation is voluntary and at the member's own risk.
Data Retention
If a member opts out of BIG, we retain a basic identifying record of that individual in our internal database so that we can recognize them if they reapply in the future. Former members who have opted out are excluded from the Sponsor Reference Check described above and from all further BIG communications, but their record is not deleted unless they request deletion under “Member Rights” below.
Data Security
BIG implements reasonable security measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and members accept the inherent risks of online data sharing.
Member Rights
You may: (1) request a copy of the data BIG holds about you; (2) correct inaccurate information; (3) request deletion of your information, subject to legal retention requirements; and (4) opt out of communications or data processing. To exercise these rights, email support@boulderinvestmentgroup.com.
Updates to This Policy
BIG may update this Policy at any time; changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued participation in BIG after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
